you can't just find this

you have to go searching for it.

but, if good things come to those who wait (what they tell you) yet "man who waits for roast duck to fly into mouth must wait very, very long time" (Chinese proverb), how the hell do we understand happening upon this sea creaturous weave? either extreme serendipity or an intensive weave hunt around the hot spots: D.C.

i can feel the motion from here.

when i first saw it, this was honestly the first image that came to mind:

toy story scariness. shiver.

then i thought about it, and the resemblance is so obvious and awesome that it's not that fun:

V and 11th.

thanks Niall.

for shame

It's hard to pole dance when you're a ball of synthetic hair, but hey, why not try?

Busy month for DC metro!

no eating or drinking

But leaving your weaving on the ground: cool with DC metro and cool with us.

weave tree

Leaves are so fall. This tree knows how to do it right- grow a weave instead.

Thanks Matt and Lindsey

snowbird weave

Our DC correspondent has found a weave resting at the intersection of Rhode Island (home to the nation's oldest carousel) and Florida* Avenues. This is one Americentric weave.

*in case you aren't from there, Floridians deem northerners who have summer homes there "snowbirds". Where I come from, a "snowbird" is also the name of the puppet who would come on TV and tell us about school cancellations and delays.

inauguration weave

Yes, an inauguration weave. Control yourself, people. Along with the whole Obama thing, this sure convinces me that this country is headed in the right direction. 2 perfectly curled locks remind me of what our president says: (something like) there is no liberal America, there is no conservative America, there is only the United States of America. Sure, but I think I'll stay in New York just in case that's not so true... Anyway, there is no right strand or left strand, there is only a piece of a weave wrapped around itself in its glory by a mentos wrapper on the ground.

You know, along with being the capitol of the free world, DC sure has a lot of weaves on the ground for the masses.

dc weave

Our good friend Matt sent us this beauty in DC. This is the first United States weave we've gotten that's not in a state, but in a district! That's pretty awesome. This is also an amazing photo. Look where the weave is: on the road- in the crosswalk! Safety first!

thanks Matt
