the motherload and tumbleweave

Today we were introduced to the notion of "tumbleweave" by our friend, Amanda. Then on the way home, we not only experienced our first tumbleweave, but also our first dual weave action. Big things are happening, people! Let's recount our night.

So, this is the tumbleweave. We first saw it from a distance and positively identified it as in fact a "tumbleweave". As we approached it, it began in a "tumbleweed" motion, rolling and maneuvering along the sidewalk. In the midst of our awe, a passerby accidentally (we think) stepped on it. Thus, we give you flattened tumbleweave.

A rare site indeed. Angle A of the two-for-one special.

Angle B: aerial shot.
Here she is: the motherload. We have a size 8.5 foot next to it for scale.

Here is the second one of the duo. Sizeable as well.

thanks Amanda
